Becoming common
Thinking about the city as it could be
This research aims to identify tools that can amplify, strengthen, replicate and expand urban processes of resource generation, communities and collective management modes. It focuses on studying actions of communality carried out within the framework of municipalism, and analysing the strategies developed by the social and institutional actors involved in the experiences.
The case study chosen is the city of Barcelona. The first phase of the study identified processes of urban communality promoted by Barcelona City Council through public-social collaboration. The Canódromo residence will serve to reinforce the second and third phases of the research, consisting of an Actor-Network analysis of the processes identified, and the mapping of the actors involved, as well as the definition of the scenarios, elements and factors of urban transformation.
