Malala Yousafzai was born in 1997 in Mingora, Pakistan. Her figure became increasingly popular when, from a young age, she began writing blogs for BBC Urdu under a pseudonym to narrate life in her country under the regime of the extremist Taliban group. In her writings, she expressed how the regime prohibited girls' education in certain areas.
A member of the Taliban group attempted to assassinate her in 2012, but she survived and recovered in the United Kingdom. After the attack, Yousafzai continued advocating for girls' education and human rights and, in 2014, she became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Since then, she has continued to advocate for education globally through her foundation, the Malala Fund.
Her bravery has made her a symbol of the fight for women's rights and access to education, and her commitment has inspired millions of people worldwide.
