In the context of the European Capital of Democracy, Sonia Bussi and Adrian Bua present "Claiming Participatory Governance," a book that analyzes how social movements are influencing state institutions through new forms of participatory governance.
They examine the strategies employed by social movements to reshape political institutions and how these strategies have succeeded in various contexts. The presentation also highlights the challenges and opportunities that these new forms of governance present, including the need to manage tensions among different actors and the possibilities for more radical democratic renewal. Gala Pin, Yanina Welp, and Igor Ahedo will be participating.
