For 8M, music, technology, and digital feminism at Canòdrom!

If we told you there is an event where music, technology, and digital feminism come together in a unique space, would you join? Mark your calendar for Friday, March 14, because 8M: Music and Technology at the Stands" is back! For the fifth consecutive year, Canòdrom - Ateneu d'Innovació Digital i Democràtica and DigitalFems are offering a day full of training, debate, and concerts to highlight female and diverse talent in the music and technology industries.

A space to learn, reflect, and advocate

Under the slogan «Music + Metadata = Digital Feminist Revolution», the #8MCanòdrom returns to the Open Stands to promote and advocate for a fairer, more accessible, and inclusive music and technology industry. Did you know that only 30% of women work in the music industry and that 70% of them earn less than the average salary? And that in the technology sector, although 31% of workers are women, leadership roles do not even reach 20%?

This event combines knowledge, creativity, and action for artists, creators, and technologists. In the morning, we will delve into metadata sovereignty, a key element to ensuring visibility and remuneration for artists in the digital world. In the afternoon, a conference and debate on the future of digital music will be followed by concerts featuring GIGI ROS and Fernanda Alemán Djset & FTFS.
