Cròniques de la Calor is a citizen science project that actively involves residents in identifying the urban areas most affected by extreme heat in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. During the summer of 2024, it has been implemented in several vulnerable neighborhoods. The meeting will discuss the metropolitan-level results with the participation of those involved and various territorial management stakeholders.
The project involves collaboration with twelve entities, such as libraries, educational centers, neighborhood groups, and NGOs. More than three hundred participants have contributed across five territories and four municipalities: the neighborhoods of Congrés i els Indians and Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera in Barcelona; Collblanc i la Torrassa in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat; and the municipalities of Sant Vicenç dels Horts and Montcada i Reixac.
Organized by: Canòdrom and OpenSystems, resident project.
