Canòdrom Opens the Third Call for Residencies

Obrim la tercera convocatòria de residències

The Canòdrom - Center for Digital and Democratic Innovation opens a call for projects in residence for the 2022-2023 academic year with the aim of facilitating collaborative work spaces for different projects that work into the areas of technology, science and democracy.

  • This is the third edition of the program: in 2021 had 9 projects in residence, and 12 in 2022.
  • The call for proposals is open until September 26.
  • The rest of the year the call for collaborators and investigators remains open.

Since its reopening at the end of 2020, the Canòdrom has been conceived as a public, open and community space, for the creation and free circulation of ideas in the field of democratic innovation and critical technology. In this sense, the space has also wanted to become an engine for promoting and consolidating new innovative projects, with the aim of connecting them, as well as taking into account the community and social reality of the Congrés-Indians neighborhood and the city of Barcelona.

The call for residences aims to facilitate synergies between projects, to turn the Canòdrom into a stimulating space for collective creation that is a benchmark in science, technology and democracy. Their return to the neighborhood and the city is a fundamental part of these residences: the work carried out from the program will be intertwined with community action and will boost the potential of citizens by opening spaces for reflection and work shared.

The selected projects will also be incorporated into the governance of the Canòdrom and its working groups to think and design the space project in a co-responsible way.
