WordPress natively provides us with the ability to manage both pages and posts, meaning static content and dynamic content. But it doesn't stop there. We can natively extend these types of content, and if we also use third-party plugins, we can take this functionality even further to the point of being able to create a directory of cars, real estate, music albums, etc.
In this talk, we will see and familiarize ourselves with concepts such as Custom Post Types, custom content types, custom fields using ACF, and the WordPress template hierarchy. With these three elements, we can create countless directories, listings, portfolios, etc.
The goal of the talk is not to establish a definitive guide on the subject, but to show a solid and consistent way to extend WordPress functionalities.
