The III International Congress on Communication and Citizenship, organized by the Communication and Citizenship Section of AE-IC and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, will take place on May 22nd and 23rd, 2025, at the Canódromo in Barcelona. This event will bring together academic projects and third-sector organizations to reflect on the challenges of community communication, alternative media, and citizen participation. Activities will include dialogue panels, presentations of local projects, audiovisual screenings, and academic communications.

Organized in collaboration with the Network for Research in Community, Alternative, and Participatory Communication (RICCAP), the EducoGEN R&D project, and the SOSCom R&D project, the congress will address key topics such as media literacy, communication policies, peace narratives, and disinformation. Additionally, on May 22nd, the Final Day of EducoGEN will take place, which will focus on thematic line 3 of the congress: Feminisms, Audiovisuals, and New Technologies.

Researchers and organizations are invited to submit their abstracts until April 4th, 2025. Registration for attendees is free.
