The «Grades Obertes» are full of activities this spring

New activities in the Open Steps of the Canodrome

From 22nd May, the Canòdrom's main square will be filled in the afternoons with open, entertaining, and free activities to enjoy the space in a free way.

Spring alters the pixels of The Canòdromo with two new actions open to citizens to boost the life of the neighbourhood and the city. We make community with recreational and educational activities, and we promote an open space of connection in the network and free access for all with the programme  «Grades Obertes». Are you coming?

Playground for a more playable space

Grades de joc per un espai més jugable

The arrival of spring and good weather is the perfect time to go out and play outdoors: the days are getting longer, the temperatures are getting warmer, and we no longer have to wear coats and scarves everywhere… at last! The Canòdromo wants to create a more playable equipment, where children feel that they have a right to play in the public space.

Therefore, every afternoon from Monday to Friday afternoons from 5 to 7 pm in May and June, the terraces of The Canòdrom will be filled with games, creativity, and dynamics for children up to 12 years old accompanied by professionals with activities that allow us to work on different themes.

How can we improve life by creating healthy links through art, expression, respect and creativity, fostering mathematical or scientific skills, learning about women's contributions to science and technology, etc.? The children, accompanied by their families or caregivers, will enjoy a playful and inclusive environment to learn to develop in freedom.

Open Classroom for a free and open use space with digital support

Internet connection is increasingly becoming a basic and essential right. Promoting Internet access and facilitating the incorporation of technology in the daily lives of citizens, as well as free Wi-Fi connection in public spaces, is a right enshrined in the Catalan Charter for Digital Rights and Responsibilities

The Canòdrom wants to continue being a place of public access to the Internet, facilitating free and free use for all those who do not have their own resources to properly use the services offered by the Internet. In the same way, it wants to promote digital literacy in an increasingly digitized society, promoting a service of guidance and help to bridge the digital and technological gap that still exists in different sectors of the population.

Do you want to work at your own pace with your computer, do you need to borrow a computer, are you looking for a free, quality and secure Wi-Fi connection, do you have any basic questions about your digital devices? Every afternoon from 16 to 19.30 h in May, June, and July we invite you to come and connect to the terraces.

You'll also be able to ask your basic questions about digital tools and have access to a one-to-one digital literacy support service. If you don't have a computer, don't worry! We'll lend you one for the duration of your stay in the space. Come in, wander around and get connected!
