Presentation of the report 'Governança sense govern' prepared by AERYC, featuring a space for dialogue and debate on new ways to articulate governance structures that do not necessarily involve governmental figures and are based on collaboration among metropolitan actors.
Most Mediterranean and Latin American metropolises consist of several municipalities without a metropolitan level of government. This undoubtedly leads to fragmentation in responses to the demographic, social, economic, cultural, educational, and mobility challenges that metropolises as a whole must address.
The general coordinator of the PEMB, Oriol Estela, will give a brief introduction, and the director of AERYC, Josep Maria Pascual, will present the publication. Following this, a conversation will take place between the authors of the report, featuring the participation of the person in charge of metropolitan governance and territorial cohesion at PEMB, who will also moderate the debate.
Speakers:
- Sonia Fuertes, from the Fòrum Social Metropolità
- Xavier Godàs, from the project Barris amb Futur of the Generalitat de Catalunya
- Pere Montaña, from the Associació de Municipis de l'Arc Metropolità de Barcelona
- Maria Cortada, gabinet tècnic PEMB
Organized by: Pla Estratègic Metropolità de Barcelona (PEMB) and Associació Àfrica-Amèrica-Europa de Regions i Ciutats (AERYC)
