Ki-taek is the father of a family with very few resources, who lives squalidly in a basement in Seoul. His situation changes one day when his son gets a job as an English teacher in the home of the Parks, a wealthy family. Using his ingenuity, the young man will manage to gain the trust of the lady of the house, and so he will slowly introduce the rest of his family to different domestic service jobs.
