The Barcelona Open Data Meeting is a space for debate and deliberation promoted by the Directorate for Participation and Democratic Innovation and the Municipal Data Office (OMD) at the Canòdrom, between Barcelona City Council, experts, organised civil society and the citizens of Barcelona, aimed at making municipal data policies more participative and open.
 

FemDevs is organizing a workshop day under the theme “Non-Competitive Programming,” aimed at various age groups and in collaboration with the international project Fairgame. This initiative aims to foster an inclusive learning space in programming.

1. For adults: Introduction to Godot, with Lyhdyr Esquerdo

Xavier Giró (Link externo) will accompany you in this theoretical-practical session to offer tools and methodologies from an intercultural perspective that allow us to detect and analyze the various discriminatory narratives that often appear in media communication.

"Pulse of Democracy: The Emotional Impact" is a workshop focused on exploring how emotions influence collective actions, community life, and public policies.

You may have heard of WordPress, but you might think it's only good for creating blogs or very simple websites with austere designs. Maybe you worked with WordPress years ago and are left with the impression that it's a tool that's fallen behind compared to other options. Or perhaps you've been using this CMS for a while, and although you have an idea of what new features it offers, you haven't had the time to stop and explore what it can do beyond the work routine you've created.

In this presentation, we will explore in a simple way how AIs are capable of understanding and processing large amounts of information. We will focus on embeddings, a key tool that allows a machine to convert words, images, and other data into numbers it can interpret. We will discover the wide range of applications this technology has, from improving internet search results to making the most well-known voice assistants smarter.

What tools do we need to positively influence our environment? Would you like to learn how methodologies for experimentation and collective practice can benefit your project or group? In this session, we will explore how innovative experimentation techniques, although often lengthy processes, can be initiated and applied in community projects.

We cannot educate on the use of digital technologies without digital technologies. Responsible parenting must balance the protection of children and adolescents with participation (presence), accompaniment (progressivity), and regulation (permissiveness) of digital technologies.
